Missing My Friend
It was 2 weeks ago today that you went away. I still can't believe you are gone. I can't even begin to tell you how many times you have crossed my mind. I don't know if I every really stop thinking about you. I have wanted to talk to you a thousand times, and I am feeling the pain over and over each time I pick up my phone and realize that you are not here.
You were always there, and now you are gone. I hope you know how much I loved you. You were the best friend I ever had. There are not really words to describe how I felt about you. You were simply, one of a kind. I was truly blessed that you came into my life again after so many years, and that we had such a great friendship.
You helped me realize my dream. Without your encouragement and support, I never would have bought my camera and followed my dreams. I was scared out of my mind, and knew literally nothing. You helped me so much by building my website, helping me put my photos on the galleries for my clients, and for your constant tech support at all hours of the night and day. I know I wasn't easy to deal with. I also know I drove you nuts! I am sorry. I wish I would have told you thank you more often.
When you decided to start your own photography business, I was glad to have someone to share everything with and I liked to be able to help you for a change! You had real talent. I know you would have been a success.
It really didn't surprise me to find out the reason you passed away. Your heart literally burst. You were always giving so much to everyone, and you gave your all to each and everyone that you loved and we loved you for it. I know you wouldn't have had it any other way. You took care of all of us. Never asking for anything in return. Our friendship was enough.
I can never repay you for your patience, hard work, your talent and expertise that you so willingly shared with me. So, I will continue to follow my dream, because I know if I don't OUR dream will die. I will always remember you whenever I pick up my camera, or look at my website and logo. Or when I see the perfect shot before my eyes.
Fly with the angels, Mike.
I hope I will see you again someday.

We Have Been Featured in the Royal Oak Patch!
I am so happy and proud to be a featured business in the Royal Oak Patch! Here is the write up.
http://royaloak.patch.com/groups/business-news/p/cancer-diagnosis-encourages-royal-oak-resident-to-pursue-dream-job
I started my business after being diagnosed with melanoma. Before I even had my surgery, I decided to buy my camera. I was totally new to digital, and had always had 35 mm film cameras. So, I made the plunge and with a ton of help from my son and my friend, I embarked on this journey. I have had such a blast doing what I love. It has been a lot of hard work and I have learned a lot along the way.
I learn something new everyday. It is my passion.
I hope to continue to make people smile and to make them feel beautiful.

{Cheyenne} Class of 2014
We started our day at the zoo with the giraffe's. Cheyenne loves the giraffe's and got to spend a little extra time with one of them! It was so cool to be this close to such an amazing animal! It was very hard for her to look away from him for some photos!
We got caught in the rain and had to wait until it cleared to go to our next destination. We went to the famous graffiti wall downtown. This girl rocked it! I love these photos!
