Photo Shoot for the Book Cover for "Twined" !!

I had the honor of recently doing a photo shoot for author A.L. Collins.  He is not only a wonderful author, who at the young age of 19, wrote his first book, "Bastion", he is also my nephew.  His 3rd book, "Twined", will be released this spring.

The main character, Avalin, is a girl whose mother was taken away to a mental institution when Avalin was young. So Avalin has put her guard up in fear that she too may be insane like her mother. And considering a lot of supernatural things happen to Avalin, she thinks that maybe she really is insane.

Short story is that she meets a man who tells her why all these supernatural things are happening, and Avalin's bear is a sort of marker that houses Avalin's power. So to Avalin the bear is precious in both the fact that it is the only part of her old self that she has held onto and the fact that all her powers rely on that bear. So she's sort of protective over it for plenty of emotional reasons.  Check out the blog for an excerpt from the book at http://www.thebookoftwined.blogspot.com/.

These are the photos I took. (The top photo is the one that will appear on the cover!) The model is my amazing and talented daughter.  It was great fun doing this shoot and my daughter and I are excited to be published and proud of this book also!
